Frequently asked questions
A few quick answers about sharing, voting, and using Aham.
What is Aham?
Aham is a community for sharing useful links, asking questions, and showing things you have made. Posts can be discussed and voted on by the community.
How are posts ordered?
Top, Ask, and Show balance community votes with post age using (votes − 1) / (age in hours + 2)^1.7. Zero votes are neutral, net-downvoted posts remain negative, and newer posts come first when scores tie. Ask and Show first filter posts by type. New shows recent posts first.
How do I submit something?
Sign in, choose Share, then select Link, Ask, or Show. Use a clear title and include the original source when sharing a link.
How do votes work?
Signed-in members can upvote or downvote a post. Your vote changes its community score; choosing the same vote again removes it.
What does karma mean?
Karma is the sum of upvotes and downvotes received on your posts and comments. Your votes on other people's contributions do not count toward your karma.
Where can I find saved posts?
Use the account menu and open Saved posts. Saving a post is private to your account and does not change its public score.
